THE PROOF

Look What Happens When You Zoom In

Both files started as the same logo. The left side is the raster PNG you started with. The right side is the vector SVG we generated. This is the difference between a clean print and a refund request.

RASTER (PNG)
Original raster PNG logo zoomed in — pixelated and blurry
Pixelated and blurry — embarrassing on a sign or shirt.
VECTOR (SVG)
Vectorized SVG logo zoomed in — edges remain crisp and clean
Crisp at any size — print on a billboard, still sharp.

Real output, real zoom. Vector edges stay mathematical paths; raster edges turn into squares.

THE PROBLEM

Why WebP Is Everywhere Now — and Why Every Other Converter Rejects It

WebP is Google's modern image format. It's what ChatGPT, Midjourney, and most modern websites hand you when you right-click and save an image. It's smaller than PNG, supports transparency, and looks great on screen. The problem: most legacy vector converters — Adobe Express, Vector Magic, Picsvg — either flat-out reject WebP or crash when you upload it.

SVG is what your printer, cutter, and embroidery machine actually want. An SVG is math, not pixels — every shape is a path that scales from a favicon to a billboard without any pixelation. That's why every serious print job needs an SVG, not a WebP.

We accept WebP directly — no need to re-export as PNG first, no quality loss from a middle step. You upload the WebP; we hand you a multi-layer SVG with every color on its own editable path, background removed automatically, no watermark. Free.

Common Questions

Why does Adobe Express reject my WebP file?
Adobe Express, Vector Magic, and several older converters were built before WebP was widely adopted. They only accept PNG and JPG. That's why so many people upload a ChatGPT or Midjourney image and get an error — the image is WebP, not PNG. We accept WebP directly.
Can I convert a WebP from ChatGPT, Midjourney, or Gemini?
Yes — all three save images as WebP by default in most browsers. Drop the WebP straight in. You don't need to re-export as PNG first (and shouldn't, because re-encoding adds artifacts).
Does the WebP transparency carry through to the SVG?
Yes. Transparent WebPs come out as SVGs with only your actual logo content — no background box. If your WebP has a solid background, we detect and remove it automatically before tracing.
Is the SVG editable in Illustrator, Inkscape, or Figma?
Yes. We output standard multi-layer SVG that opens in every vector program. Each color sits on its own path so you can edit them individually.
How is this better than converting WebP to PNG first, then PNG to SVG?
Every conversion step adds tiny artifacts. Going WebP → PNG → SVG stacks two lossy steps, whereas WebP → SVG directly is one clean pass. Our tracer reads WebP natively, so no quality is lost to an intermediate PNG.
Which WebP variants work? Lossy, lossless, animated?
Lossy and lossless WebP both work perfectly. Animated WebP works but we vectorize only the first frame — animated SVG output would be huge and print machines can't use it anyway.
Will my background be removed?
Yes, automatically. If your WebP has a solid or near-solid background (white, black, colored), we detect and remove it during tracing.
Is the free SVG download watermarked?
No. Your free conversion downloads without any watermark. Sign up for a free account to convert more, or unlock 50 conversions in the Pro pack.
How long does WebP to SVG conversion take?
About 10 seconds for most WebPs. Larger or highly detailed images may take up to 30 seconds. A live progress indicator shows you where we are.
Can I use the SVG commercially for print or resale?
Yes. The SVG we produce is yours to use commercially — print, sell, license, or trademark, no royalty owed to LogoMakr.
